‘Waiting…’ explores the medical waiting room as an in-between, embodied space where tensions converge and anticipation abounds. As places, these rooms operate on a number of levels – exterior and interior; outer and inner; public and private; social and personal. The images of this series allude to the role the waiting room plays in a patient’s transition from the unknown to the known, as they wait on the threshold, aware of the possibility that upon re-entering the room, they may do so changed.
